We’re getting great interest in our next Free Rivoli lecture – so register your attendance now! Our next lecture is on a Tuesday night – so be extra specially careful in marking your calendar. If you turn up on the wrong day, please just go to the movies instead. For our next free lecture attendees will connect with our speaker Dr James Simcock via one of the many live feedback apps, so that they can answer questions and offer comments live during the lecture on the big Rivoli cinema screen. James will talk about orthopaedic surgery tips and challenges covering common orthopaedic conditions such as elbow and hip dysplasia. As part of the audience you’ll be able to choose your preferred multi-choice answer to James’ questions in real time and with a bit of luck you’ll be able to make any comments you like right there on the screen. James is looking forward to you giving him a roasting all night. We’ll let you know with plenty of advance warning which of the mobile apps you can use to chat to James on the night.

Following James will be Dr Kathryn Duncan, Surgical Resident, and she will be speaking about “Surgical Anaesthesia”. Kathryn and her Southpaws colleagues are always reviewing the more effective and safe anaesthesia techniques from around the world and Kathryn will cover the latest developments in general anaesthetic principles and protocols as well as adjunctive pain relief methods (local nerve blocks, epidurals and intra-articular analgesia). After giving James a roasting you need to be nice to Kathryn.

We kick off at 7:00PM with free refreshments and canapes, with lectures starting at 7:25PM or so in one of the comfortable Rivoli cinemas.

Please plan ahead to allow for traffic as we don’t want you missing out on the delicious pre-lecture canapés and it gives us a chance to catch up and say hi.

Parking is available in the area but do watch out for zones and times. There is good parking available opposite the Southpaws Consulting Suites at 555 Riversdale Rd, Camberwell just 400m from the cinemas if you would like a walk in the frosty night air.

Registration is a must, as the cinemas are limited in capacity and some of our past lectures have filled very quickly.

To register, please click on this link and follow the instructions as always.
