The role:

Join the passionate team at Southpaws as we expand our 24-hour dedicated emergency pet hospital in Malvern East. We recognise that emergencies don’t adhere to a schedule, and that’s why we’re eager to welcome skilled Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Veterinarians to our dynamic team.

Our emergency hospital is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring that our ECC Veterinarians have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the critical moments of a pet’s life.

We have a rare and highly sought after opening in our senior ECC team!

This is the role you have been searching for, where you can blend your hard-earned skills, knowledge, and passion with a sustainable work-life balance and no overnight shifts.

Our team is large and growing, with three senior ECC clinicians holding MANZCVS qualifications, and we are looking for a fourth! This role ensures top-tier patient handovers and seamless communication with clients and referring vets each day. As a senior ECC clinician at Southpaws Malvern, you will be the lead vet on the clinical floor, a natural leader, and a mentor to junior clinicians and our large team of rotating interns.

You will be a crucial part of our highly collaborative referral team, advocating for your patients and supporting other teams within our hospital.

You’ve been there, seen it, and got the T-shirt. You’ll be pleased to know that we have specialist anaesthesia available every day, on-call specialist surgery teams, and highly skilled nurses, allowing you to focus on the primary care of your emergency, high dependency, and critical patients.

You will be an integral part of a truly collaborative referral team, advocating for your patients and supporting the other teams in our hospital.
